UK Furniture Bank was founded in late 2019 to assist the less fortunate moving into housing by providing essential furniture items. Many of these individuals, including children, do not have a bed or other necessities to take to their new home.
UK Furniture Bank in partnership with the referring Social Service Agencies, Helping Organizations and or the local Faith Based Community creates a positive and comfortable environment which people can call home.
The UK Furniture Bank team’s ultimate goal is to join forces with the community to furnish those in need with beds, furniture, and white goods etc. We want to help each family to walk into their house and turn it into a home.
We approach what we do on a Hands-Up approach, we are not a simple Hand-Out organisation, we want what we do to make a real difference to people’s lives
Since 2019 we have helped furnish 1000’s of homes for individuals and families who are choosing to escape homelessness and helplessness.
Our aim is to help people and organisations such as local Housing officers, Welfare Officers, Charities, Schools, Charitable Organisations or local Community faith organisations etc. Who are currently supporting families and individuals in the local community to gain a better way of life.
We achieve this by providing essential items of furniture, beds and white goods which are new, refurbished or donated.
